My name is Shalane. I'm 30 years old and live in South Africa. I'm a single mom to a very bubbly and talkative 7 year old. I would love for you to join me for a cappuccino, while you get to know me a bit better.
About Me
I am a qualified makeup artist and have a passion for interior design. So I would definitely call myself very creative. I grew up in Joburg, South Africa, living with my dad for most of my childhood. I was a tomboy, hanging around my dad's workshop and around the racetrack. When I was 16 I found my love for beauty and interior design. My dream is to have a makeup studio, where I can see clients and make them feel beautiful.
Once I finished high school I moved to Port Elizabeth and lived there for 4 years. I then welcomed my little bundle of joy into the world. Alas a perfect happy ending was not meant for me and I became a single mom. And I honestly don't regret one single moment of this incredible journey.
I love cappuccino's, makeup, books and music. I also love spending time with my family and friends, and that is where you will find me on most weekends. I value time spent with love ones so much.
About Cappuccino with Me
Cappuccino with Me has been something I have thought about for quiet some time. This comes after I faded away from my first blog, Dragonflies and Dreamcatchers, which was my baby and also very beauty orientated. Cappuccino with Me is a combination of lifestyle and beauty, and very much the person I am today.
The blog will focus on lifestyle topics like food, DIY, recipes and more emotional and heart to heart topics. I will also do interviews with people I admire, bloggers and friends. My passion for interior design, beauty and my son will radiate throughout the blog.
